0.1.7App Store review approved

More source languages, build artifacts and larger archives

Changes since 0.1.5, the previous version approved for the Mac App Store, including the changes introduced in the 0.1.6 Beta: 205 free offline lexical profiles, Pro Framework/dSYM previews, improved archive listings and offline Pele diagrams. Diagram mode requires Pro and macOS 14.4+.

  • Expanded free source and configuration highlighting to 205 offline lexical profiles, including templates, shaders, build scripts and embedded languages, with individual language switches.
  • Improved recognition and Finder routing for dotfiles, extensionless build files and common lockfiles. Unknown generic files show basic information; system routing limits still apply.
  • Added Pro Framework and dSYM previews for identity and available architecture, UUID and platform details, without crash symbolication.
  • Improved large-archive reading, indexing, sorting and cancellation; listings are no longer fixed to the first 256 entries. Resource limits still apply.
  • Improved legacy archive filename detection and Pro 7z listing compatibility for supported LZMA/LZMA2 headers and single-coder solid archives.
  • Updated offline Mermaid rendering to Pele, with different layouts and syntax compatibility. Diagram mode still requires Pro and macOS 14.4+.
  • Fixed highlighting boundaries and localization, and improved preview recovery and package-icon reuse.

Native patches and offline diagrams

Changes since 0.1.3: free native Diff/Patch views, offline Mermaid diagrams, and improved preview reliability. Mermaid diagram mode requires Peeka Pro and macOS 14.4 or later.

  • Added free native Diff/Patch previews with Source, Fluid, Blocks and Unified views, file switching, old/new line numbers, change counts and text copying.
  • Added offline Mermaid previews for twenty diagram categories, with native pan and zoom, Fit and Diagram/Source switching. Diagram mode requires Peeka Pro and macOS 14.4 or later; highlighted source in Markdown remains free.
  • Refined light/dark themes, typography, connectors, multi-branch Git graphs, Sankey diagrams, Kanban boards and long-diagram layouts.
  • Added offline, copyable third-party license notices in Settings > About.
  • Improved mail patches, large change blocks, paths containing spaces, ZIP, 7z and Android AAB handling, and fixed localization issues.
  • Peeka only displays existing patch content. It does not compare arbitrary files or apply patches. Partial or unsupported input keeps its source and an explanation.
  • Supports .mmd, .mermaid and Mermaid fences in Markdown. Unsupported syntax or resource limits fall back to highlighted source with an explanation. Earlier macOS versions retain Markdown source; standalone Mermaid formats require macOS 14.4+.
0.1.3

App icons, eight languages, and clearer previews

Peeka 0.1.3 is now available on the Mac App Store. Changes since 0.1.0 cover package previews, logs, Markdown, localization, and reliability.

  • The interface now supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French and Spanish.
  • Added highlighted source previews for supported logs and crash reports, with summaries and structured details in Peeka Pro. Improved recognition and highlighting of Android Logcat and Android Studio logs.
  • Fixed clipped final rows in Markdown tables and improved horizontal scrolling and narrow-window reading.
  • Refined Android icons, preview headers, display scaling and the main window layout.
  • Improved parsing reliability and resource controls for CSV, property lists, SQLite, application packages and archives.
