We’re here to help

What is Peeka?

Peeka extends Quick Look on your Mac with previews for APK, AAB, IPA, and Markdown files. It brings more of your everyday files into the familiar select-and-preview workflow.

How do I preview a file?

With Peeka’s Quick Look extension enabled, select a supported file in Finder and press the space bar. Press it again to close the preview and get back to your files.

How do I enable the extension?

After installing Peeka, on macOS Sequoia 15 or later, open System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions. Under Extensions, click the info button next to Quick Look and turn Peeka on. Then select a supported file in Finder and press the space bar.

Can I download Peeka now?

Peeka is coming soon to the Mac App Store. The download link and release details will be added here when it is available.

Which versions of macOS are supported?

Peeka is being built for macOS. The minimum supported version will be confirmed with the first release.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Peeka reads and renders files on your Mac, right where they already live. It doesn’t need an account, and it doesn’t send your documents or app packages to us or anyone else.

What will a preview actually show?

For app packages, the details you usually dig for: name, version, identifiers, and what’s inside. For Markdown, the rendered document instead of raw source. Same space bar for both.

Will Peeka support more file formats?

The plan is to grow the list beyond the first release. If there’s a format you wish Quick Look could peek at, tell us on the support page — suggestions are read.

How much will Peeka cost?

Pricing will be announced with the launch on the Mac App Store. App Store purchases and refunds are handled by Apple.
