Application packages
Android packages
Peeka shows identity and compatibility. It does not install or run the app.
- .apk is free: name, version, SDK requirements, architectures, and a permission count.
- Pro adds permission names, up to 12 items, and signing information. A signature summary shows that signing data is present. It does not check whether the signature is valid.
- .aab, .apks, .xapk, .apkm, and .aar require Pro. Split containers show the base package and a summary of the splits.
Apple packages
Basic identity is free for the common app packages. Some containers only show a summary.
- .ipa, .app, and .appex can show the name, bundle identifier, version, platform, minimum system version, and architectures when the file contains them.
- Quick Look previews for DMG and flat PKG files now progressively show names and icons of supported applications, without mounting or installing them.
- A flat .pkg shows a package summary. Peeka does not run installer scripts or verify the package signature. Older folder-style packages are not supported.
- Pro adds .xcarchive, .xcframework, .framework, .dSYM, .dylib, .mobileprovision, and .provisionprofile, plus the available signing identity on packages that have one.
- Added Pro Framework and dSYM previews for identity and available architecture, UUID and platform details, without crash symbolication.
